About Equrent
Two founders building a rent guarantor for people the existing ones do not serve well.
- Why we exist
- From 1 May 2026 the Renters' Rights Act limits rent in advance to one month. People without UK credit history used to pay six months up front to reassure a landlord. That route closed, and the alternative is a guarantor. Existing guarantor services work in English, ask you to apply before they show a price, and one requires a co-signer. We serve the same need in the customer's language, with the prices published.
- How we work
- Two founders, no call centre. Applications are read automatically and a person reviews anything unusual. That is how the price stays where it is, and it is why we would rather answer you in minutes than have you wait days for a queue.
- Where we are
- We are not trading yet. Contracts are with counsel, and this site is being built in the open. When we say something is not available, that is why.
