The Pre-approval Passport
An approval you can carry between viewings, so you can tell a landlord you already have a guarantor.
- What it is
- When we approve you, we issue a Passport: a code, a shareable link and a PDF. It states your category, the rent it covers and the date it expires. It is issued whether or not you have found a property.
- Why it helps
- Most people are asked for a guarantor after they have found somewhere, then lose the property while they arrange one. A Passport means you can answer the question at the viewing.
- How long it lasts
- Ninety days. If you have not found a property in that time, tell us and we will look again at what has changed.
- How a landlord checks it
- They open the link, or enter the code on our verification page. They see the cover terms and can ask us anything before they accept.

The Passport comes after the £20 application. Start by checking what the annual fee would be.
